Summer vs. Winter - Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics

What is the biggest difference between winter & summer? 

(Besides the obvious: cold & hot)

Well, I'll tell you... it's my hair!

During the winter it is soft and under control, but when summertime arrives, my hair turns against me and I don't recognize it anymore. Not to worry though because during the summer my hair is usually picked up in a bun which isn't that bad. But this summer is going to be a bit different because inside my Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox I received the Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics (complimentary for testing purposes) in 5 beautifully assorted colors. 

They are made of a silky-stretchy material ribbon which holds my hair surprisingly well. (I have a lot of thick long hair). I love the "knot" they have at one end because it's a cute accent and also gives me something to pull on when I'm wrapping the ribbon around my ponytail. Another thing I really like about these hair elastics is that when I want to let my hair down, I can just wear them as a cute wristband and no one will even know it doubles as a hair ribbon! Where did the time go?

It seems like only yesterday I was coming home from the hospital with a tiny little special package. I was 18 and he was "just born". Today he is 17 (almost 18), already done with high school, and on his way to college. Children are a special gift from God that always seem to grow up way too fast. It's a bittersweet moment for me because he has become an independent responsible young man, but I miss the little boy that depended on me for pretty much everything. I am proud of him and still praying for him. I guess I will be for the rest of my life. It comes with the territory. Prayer keeps me sane. I too depend on God to protect my children and guide them in the right direction. 

Although I still have another little boy to take care of, I feel even my time with him is flying by. He's 9 and already thinking about being in high school! (Stopping now to take a deep breath and a sip of my coffee)... Time waits for no one. Ain't that the truth?  

Kindergarten Graduation

Congratulations to my sweet baby boy who is now a graduate...and to all of the Class of 2013...may God continue to bless your lives and guide you to becoming responsible young men and women!

American Idol in the Making?

My sweet child loves to play the guitar. He basically taught himself how to play watching videos on YouTube.  I'm so proud of him and everything he has accomplished so far. He is a very responsible young man who is about to graduate from High School. He has worked very hard to meet his goals and we encourage him to continue with the same inspiration each day of his life.
