I was so sure my son would love the chocolate chip one, but was surprised when he said he didn't like it as much as the Apple! I'm so glad we had a few to try out so we know which one is his favorite flavor. Another thing I was happy to find out is that they are available at Target!

We're back with another exciting campaign from BzzAgent! With back to school just around the corner, these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils have arrived at a perfect time. They are colorful and cute with 5 different colors to choose from: purple, pink, blue, yellow & orange! My favorite is the purple, of course. I also love that they come with lead & eraser refills!
They write smooth & really dark without having to press down on the pencil. The lead is strong and didn't break easily when I pressed down to test it out. The eraser is smooth and doesn't smudge, but I did notice on the writing where I pressed down too hard on the lead, you could still see a bit of the writing after I erased it. It definitely worked better on the writing where I didn't press down really hard on the lead. The good thing is, you don't actually have to press down hard at all, so it works really well!
My son was also very surprised by how smooth & comfortable they are to use!
It doesn't really take a lot for me to realize how blessed my life is. There is so much to be thankful for. It's the little things that matter. And I don't want to take anything for granted.
This summer we've been enjoying nature...not going into the wilderness or anything big like that, but in our very own backyard.
Can you believe an entire fox family decided to spend the morning playing right here in my yard? It may seem like something insignificant, but I enjoyed watching them run around. We've also been lucky enough to see a beautiful fawn going for a walk and two sand turtles that come every day to eat our grass. I decided to share all of these little critters with you.

During my years as a parent I've had so many special moments with my kids. I have been truly blessed being their mother. Today I had another one of those extra special moments where you don't really have words to describe what you are feeling...
My youngest has demonstrated great interest in playing the saxophone (just like his father) & joined the band in school. After playing for about 6 months, he was given the opportunity to perform a solo before a judge to get rated. This was one of those nerve wracking moments where you are trying to act calm for your child's sake, but inside you feel like you have a million butterflies in your stomach & your heart is racing 100 miles a minute, but it was totally worth it!
Listening to the judge critique his playing made me feel so thankful for the blessing my son has been given. And just in case you were wondering... yes, I did cry a little. We are so proud of him & we continue to pray so he may receive many more blessings & always use them for good!

Excitement levels are high as we once again join in the fun of another Influenster campaign! Our Apple & Eve Organic VoxBox has arrived & we've already started trying out the juice and sharing our thoughts. For this one, I had to ask my little assistant to join me and share his opinion since the VoxBox is really for him. He was, of course, very excited to participate and here's our Unboxing Video & first impressions:
As you may have guessed, he really loved the juice and I really love the fact that they are organic and more so, that the sugar it has comes from the fruit! It's a win-win for us! He loves to drink the juice and I love that it's good for him!
He tried the Tart Cherry with dinner and said it was good, but his favorite so far has been the "Berrylicious Lemonade"! We can't wait to try adding it to a smoothie for even more flavor!

Time flies when you're having fun and this summer has been no exception. I can't believe it's time for "Back to School" shopping again. Notice how I said "shopping"! That's because it's the only part of "Back to School" that I actually enjoy. Having my kids home is the best feeling in the world so I'm not as excited as they are about starting school again.
We did a small shopping trip and here are the things we purchased.
