My 2015 Ambition

There are lots of things I think about doing, but "life" keeps me from accomplishing. And by "life" I mean, the excuses I make up that keep me from doing something. I've decided that for 2015 I will do everything I can to achieve 1 specific goal and that is...to film more YouTube videos and dedicate more time to my Channeljstoney1995! So far, I've started the year off with a bang!  I'm trying out new things and I feel pretty good about it!

Something (which may seem insignificant) that has already made a difference is having enough light. Santa (a.k.a. husband), surprised me with a lighting set for Christmas to make my life easier. If there is enough light at all times, I don't have to limit myself to filming only at a specific time or only when the sun is out. When it comes to natural light, depending on nature isn't really sensible since it can change from one moment to the next. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE natural lighting, but when a cloud covers the sun and my camera goes crazy trying to adjust to the slightest changes, it's not fun! And after spending time preparing for filming, it can be a bit frustrating having to stop and wait for the light to come back.

I feel this is a realistic goal that I will be able to accomplish because of the fact that it is something I enjoy doing so much! It may seem strange to talk into a camera lens, but for me, it's always entertaining. Another important part of my goal is the editing portion of the process which is very time consuming, but the good news is...I LOVE EDITING my videos! And even though I don't have a fancy video editing program, I like to do the best that I can with what I have.

So there you have it, my 1 goal/ambition for 2015. It feels funny now that I'm putting it out there as if somehow now that you're reading this, I will be held accountable for my actions. I will have to stay motivated and keep at it no matter what!

CROWDTAP: Discover Brookside Chocolate

You've probably watched the commercials just like I have on TV announcing Brookside Chocolate, and if you haven't tried it yet, by the time you're done reading this you'll want to run out and get yourself a bag! Trust me! I received a free sample from Crowdtap and it's been so difficult not to eat them all in one sitting! I do not like dark chocolate...or so I thought! Then I tried one of these little clusters and now I LOVE dark chocolate!

I have the "Berry Medley Flavors" which are clusters of crispy multigrains and soft fruit flavored centers, all covered in smooth dark chocolate! Just as delicious as they sound! Check them out and let me know what you think. And if you have already #DiscoveredBrookside, share with me your thoughts and what flavors you've tried.

TASTE TEST: Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Tea

Last night I tried the Celestial Seasonings Tea in the flavor "Candy Cane Lane". It got a bit cold and I needed a little something to keep me warm so I figured it was the perfect moment to do a Taste Test! I even did a little video to share with you my first time trying it! Check it out below!

The tea is decaf (no problem having it at any time of the day or night) green tea with peppermint and other botanicals.  When the hot water touched the tea, I could immediately smell the peppermint! I couldn't wait to take the first sip. I always add liquid creamer to my tea & it seems to cool it to the perfect temperature so I don't have to wait too long before I can drink it! Totally worth it though! I relaxed & sipped my tea which was the perfect ending to a wonderful day! The "Candy Cane Lane" green tea has my approval! I give it 5 stars!

REVIEW: Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover & ScandalEyes Eyeliner

Today I've got a review of the two Rimmel London products I received from Influenster in my #FrostyVoxBox (check out my previous post to see what other goodies I got)!

It really works!
I'll start with the Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover because it was the first one I tried out. It is completely different from the product I currently use to remove eye makeup so I was really happy to find that it worked so well. It actually just felt like I was using water (no oily feeling or residue), but unlike water, it removed my makeup! It did not sting or make my eyes feel irritated and it worked even on my 24-hour wear eye shadow pencil. I am really satisfied with the results!
Before & After
Before I opened it!
Moving on to the Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal eyeliner in "Black"... all I can say is WOW! Such a smooth application and so pigmented! It glides right on and is soooo black! I give it 5 stars! The fact that it is also waterproof is just an extra! Another plus is that it comes in 10 shades so you have lots to choose from! I will note that when I tried to remove this eye liner using the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, I found it wasn't as easy so I really had to "soak" the cotton pad in order to make it work.
Look I created using the eyeliner!
